60D Battery charger blinking light

Hi I just bought a new 60D. Currently, charging the battery for the first time. However, the red colour light on the charger keep on blinking. Is that normal? It doesn't happen on my past DSLR :think:

Maybe bad battery? Is it the original or some cheapo 3rd-party one?

Bro it's the original one straight from my brand new 60D....

i think its normal. is there a percentage chart at the side of where you slide in your battery on the charger? if there is, if it blinks twice it means 50% charged, thrice means 75% charged. If it turns green and lights up permenantly then its fully charged. Pardon me if i'm wrong

Red or Orange LED light blinking?

Orange LED blinking during charge is normal.

Thank you all for the help rendered. Just confirmed that it is normal. Sorry am a noob in this as I have been using xxxD series and PnS all the while and the charging light is totally different. Will close this thread now.
