1) APPLE & EI
Ahmet Tas / 2007 / 6min / Germany / PG
Synopsis:
Markets exist all over Europe. Every country has an own group of immigrants selling food. Berlin-Turks, Paris-Algerian, Tunisian, London-Pakistan-Indian, Madrid-Moroccans… etc. Integration seems to be a new variation of colonization. They are singing the whole day for 20€.
Director’s Statement:
At the market we discovered that the foreign sellers are singing. We had a few days of shooting and edited the first draft for the musician. We waited for his reaction and answered with the second draft of the edit to compose a 5-6 minutes documentary-rap. In this project, construction was forbidden. Everything happened in front of our eyes, we only followed to find the melody.

The kleptomaniac Sture leads a lonely and eventless life. His only thrill comes from playing bingo and shoplifting candy from the local supermarket. One day his path crosses with the young shoplifter Carlos. This meeting will take Sture´s tedious day in a totally new direction.
