Guys...

please help...
Any idea to have CS support raw for 5D.
It seems that only Photoshop CS2 can support...

help..help..

here's a list of raw converters, it states which ones work with the 5D:
http://dyxum.com/darkroom/converters/list.asp

i think you have to pay for most of the better ones... or you can try rawshooter essentials - need a small hack to make it work with the 5D, but it's free.

most of those are stand-alone programs. if you want something that works as a CS plug-in, take a look at http://www.dalibor.cz/minolta/plugin.htm

the latest beta version works with the 5D.

Before the plug-in for 7D, what i did was download the Dimage software then photoshop can read... it like the Dimage giving "knowledge" to PS... a bit slower.

the latest plug-in should be able to read 5D's raw

Why don't you download the raw plugin for CS2 and try if it works?

Maybe because of this statement from Adobe Website :

"
Support for the following cameras is included in Photoshop CS2. Camera Raw 3.1 is not compatible with Photoshop CS.
"

hi muko...

earlier, i listed a bunch of options, e.g. free converters, and a plugin that works with photoshop CS. didn't get any response from you.

i have two more suggestions.

1) upgrade your photoshop CS2

2) this method is troublesome, but free. download the adobe dng converter (look for it on the adobe website), then convert your 5D raw files to dng. you should then be able to use them in photoshop CS. i haven't tried it, but my friend has been doing that with his d70s files.

good luck.

still looking for the native adobe one...

hmm.. convert to dng kah....

thanks..
