Hi guys and gals,

I recalled reading this 50mm Project and this 16MB Outing in the forum. There is no news of either event coming, so I wonder if there are still interest in organising one or combination of 2 such stuff. This is a challenge to the current crop of people, some who did not even took a picture with film or prime len. After the shoot we will go for lunch and share our experience if you are keen.

Intentions of this event:
1. Seek to improve exposure and composing techniques
2. Meet more friends

Rules for this event
1. Any camera, be it digital or film, 35mm or medium or even large format
2. Any film, be it B&W, colour slide or negative
3. 36 exposures, other format users are also restricted to 36 exposures
4. 1 prime len of 50mm or equal in 35mm format. If no 50mm prime bring another prime of your choice. For zoom users fix your zoom to 50mm (or the nearest).
5. No deletion of pictures allowed. Each digital user will be checked with their picture count (image numbering) before and after the event.

Good luck!

Hi, I will update the first post to let interested parties decide which is the better day / time to go.

Christopher

Hi guy and gals, if you are really interested to join please indicate your information down on the list. If there are enough people I will go for both Sat and Sun. The list is not restricted to 6 as 1 or 2 might have something on and pull out at the last minute.

sounds like fun, feel like shootin one last roll of film on my eos88 b4 i manage to sell it.

but i dont have a prime lens, can lock my tamron 28-75 at 28mm though.

Then use 40mm no change during the whole day. The idea is to make participants think more before they press the shutter, with a fixed focal length. The sun does not rise from the west if you do not have a 50mm len, or best, get a 50mm len before you join us

sunday , maybe i can come... can email me at kendo@singnet.com.sg.

I try to get my friend too..long time no shoot film...hope u dont mind me becourse i am a slow shooter ...i got 28mm and 50mm loh....

Hi, please confirm you and your friend's information by updating the list. You are welcome to join as it is a good experience to see how people shoot.

Thanks
Christopher

Hi everydoby, look carefully in the starter thread, for the lens issue, you can either :

1) shoot 50mm prime, use that lens for the whole event.
2) shoot any other prime, use that lens for the whole event.
3) shoot using xoom lens but fix it @ a particular focal lenth, use it @ that focal length and use that lens for the whole event.

Hi guy, corret me if my understanding is wrong.
