other than light and shadow, must a photograph possess deeper meaning?

pls advise.

Somehow it looks OOF to me..or maybe the jpeg is too compressed, makes it look pixelated.
Try to save in a higher quality.

Maybe a closer crop and convert to B/w would be better.

Without the ability to convey an idea, emotion, time or memory, a photo is a pictorial record. I want to make photos, not just take photos.

wow!

really profound.

will take me some time to ponder over.

thks!

With or without a story, it really depends on what kind of photos you take. It could tell a story or simply record a scene, object, etc that grabs your attention. Meaning is subjective. What's meaningful to you might not be appreciated by others.

Back to the photo. I find the overall composition too cluttered, especially with the complex shadow. Shoot this at another time of the day, it could well be a simpler minimalist piece. I happened to take somthing similar last weekend, which explains what I said graphically.

actually, i shot because of the shadow.

maybe i should

1) open my aperture or use the tele end of my lens so the DOF will be shallower.

2) trim away some of the leaves so the shadows will be less cluttered .

overall, must admit i didnt put too much thought b4 pressing the shutter.

will do.

thks :).
