Sigma releases 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM
Sigma goes ultrawide with 8-16mm F4.5-5.6 DC
Sigma stabilizes 50-500mm ultra-telezoom

Very interesting announcements from Sigma at the ongoing PMA 2010 show!

Of course the big question is how much these goodies will cost...

The fact that all their latest introductions include a pentax mount says alot about the momentum Pentax is gaining. In fact, some recent models are introduced in pentax mount first. Good work Sigma but I am wondering if pentax users want to pay extra for the stabilization when they have built-in SR. Would help if they sold a cheaper non-OS version.
The 85 f/1.4 looks veryyyyyyyyy interesting!

anyway nice to have alternatives....

lets see any reaction from pentax to come up with new offerings, else everybody will be buying into sigma lenses...

The 8-16 is intriguing. Wonder how it handles distortion at the wide end. Though I think it'll cost 1.2K at least. :think:

The 85 is a welcomed alternative, but I'll be happy with Pentax older but smaller 85 line-up.
