4R or 5R????

hey was tinking of printing my shots and mounting it on black a4 paper...now the prob is wat size to print....4R or 5R??? for my film up to 8R also no problem .... but my digital is 3mp only...so most prob nice up to 5R....

any ideas????

3Mp can easily do 8R.

3mp can easily do 10x15 if the image is good. 2mp can already do 8R.

6R would be a good size to mount on A4 paper, giving a nice border all around.

hmmm...so many different views....so how bout 5R on black a4 backing...1 shot per page in landscape....??? coz muz consider price also...i printing at lab...

Please correct me if I'm wrong... I think only 4R, S8R and S10R give 3 x 2 ratio, while the rest will give 4 x 3 ratio... U might like to consider this cos' cropping will be done on those with 4 x 3 sizes... (unless your photos are already in 4 x 3 ratios)...

clearly, 5R does NOT give 4:3 aspect ratio.

suggest 4R if u got tons of shots to print out..then accompany with 5R or 6R for those "more" significant shots. :think:

hmmm...those tt i printing at lab are film shots...so i dun tink got prob wif cropping...yup...now i printing only the more significant ones....bout 20 peices....but tts ex...like $1 a piece....

guess i stick to 4R for my film shots and 4S for my digital shots....thanks guys...mount on A4 still dun look so small unless i manually crop the film shtos too much....
