450D Hanged

Hi guys, anyone have any idea why my 450D hangs rather occassionally.
When it hangs...itwill stuck at the usual standby screen (that shows shutterspeed, aperture, ISO, etc).

All buttons are non-operational except on/off button. It will continue to hang even when i turn off the camera and on it again.

Only a "hard reset" by taking out the battery would solve the problem.

It is time to birng it to Canon Service Centre?

Yup, better to bring it to the service centre for a check up.

i had this problem with my old camera, had to bring to service centre to and fro 3 times before they conclude that it is hardware issue..

the hang always occurs when i use long shutter speed...but after the change no more issue
