This annual memorial service is held in remembrance of the victims who were killed during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore. It reminds all Singaporeans that we cannot take our peace for granted and have to be able to defend ourselves.
Representatives from the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI), diplomatic corps, religious organisations, businesses and clan associations, uniformed services, schools, Singapore Police Force Gurkha Contingent and National Cadet Corps, together with the families of the victims will be attending the Service.
An "All Clear" siren will be sounded by the Singapore Civil Defence Force to kick -start the event.
Members of the public are most welcome to join in the Service to pay their respects to those who were lost.
