Hi Guys
I just got the 40D yesterday, great camera.
but I just noticed that the counter reads 9400+
I have taken less then 200 shots
is this right?
if not, what do you think I shoud do

tks

Stop worrying and keep shooting. The number rarely reflects the actual shutter count.

Well, I just hope I am not getting a over shot camara form the shop
what should the counter read anyway?

Send the camera to Canon and only they can tell you the shutter count. File numbering is easily affected by the card used.

:Dhi bro...are u refering to the number of shutter count on the top lcd panel....
if tats the case....dont worry la... its actually means how many shot u are left with to shoot with the particular card....not shutter count of the cam...
hope tis help ...

Hi
its not the counter on the top LCD panel, I know thats the shots left.
I am refering to the photos taken, its the photo count, I hope its because I used my old CF card which was from my old cam

Did you format the CF card before the first shot? If yes then something fishy.
