Your question makes very little sense. I think you need to rephrase.

at 300dpi (dots per inch):

4R = 4x6 inch (multiply each by 300)------> 1200x1600 resolution

8R = 8x10 inch --------------------------> 2400x3000 resolution

is 1200 by 1800 pixels. for 4R print.

when ever possible. do save it in a higher resolution. say 8x12 at 300 dpi. at least can resize down. with only a 4R source image it is quite difficult if you want to resize upwards.

I have a question here... if I resize the picture to 1600x2400 (which is the same aspect ratio 4:3), will the picture be crop during printing...? because it seems a bit of the border is cut off.... and it is even worse for 5R (with 5R aspect ratio)

Yes, it will be cropped. So to prevent the print unnecessary cropping, first is crop to the print ratio e.g. 4R is 4" x 6" , crop your images to ratio 2:3 or 3:2 depend on orientation. Then down size to 1800x 1200 or 1200x1800 or similar.

also, it is best to shoot at finer quality if u wanna print 8R or bigger for best print result
