I have been looking for a battery grip for my d5k that has a secondary dial, but failed to find one. Please advise.

D5000 did not design to use with a battery grip, so there is no electronic contact point, if you insist, you will need to modify your D5000 for that.

You might want to consider selling your D5000 and get a D90 if that dial on the battery grip is so important to you.

Dun bother, you may not get full compatibility in the end.

Get a D80 and above if you want to use it with a grip.
