any pros here can share some settings usually for such events, ie. ISO, aperture, shutter speed etc. ?

i am newbie in this area and i juz got a sigma 70-300mm. hopefully this lens can help me take some pics of 张韶涵. :embrass:

i normally use 70-300 for my photos as seldom has the chance to stand too near the subjects. most important is to bring along a flash if it's indoors. 7.30 outdoor maybe getting late.

wanted to go but have work commitments. hopefully can make it without all the jams.

Hi there..
70-300 maybe a slow lens for this event..as the max stop is F4 at 70mm and 5.6 at 300m..as lightings maybe low or bad..u might wanna consider renting or owning a 2.8 lens
ISO wise depends on situation, but as for tmr i can guess it will be around ISO 640 and above.
shutter speed try to maintain above 80 to prevent blur pics..
just sharing my past experience when i shot these events

i understand 70-300 is a slow lens. but that's the best my budget can afford me of. :cry:

thks for sharing ur experience. i guess i will try to up my ISO to 800-1000 and try to squeeze my way to at least mid-distance from the stage tml.
