35mm F1.8 DX on a D700

Saw these photos taken with Nikon 35mm f1.4G + D700 from Dpreview.com. Are they good enough to tempt you buying this new but expensive beast rather than going budget by using the 35mm f1.8 DX on D700?

I have been poisoned already with 35mm f/1.4G :lovegrin:

Hope the price is cheaper than his brother, 24mm f/1.4G
