Anyone got samples of the lens output? i tried it out yesterday.. quite soft.. wont do without some PS.. and also pretty unusable indoors..

pretty soft only after 200 mm.

its dims the viewfinder alot too.

but still a good starter zoom lens.

not sure if its still on but u just need to buy a 300D from an authorised dealer and provide proof of purchase and warranty card to get the lens.

Last time i checked with Canon, the promo lens is until 11th July 2004.

I'm in BC, Canada and just recently purchased the D300, but I can't find any rebate information for that on Canon's web site at all.
I'm trying to find out if there is any way I can obtain a free lense as well Sounds sweet as a good tele starter lense.

Hmm... Canada? Not very sure, u'll probably have to check your local papers for any promotion. But I'm pretty sure its exclusive to Singapore only.

street price according to computer times this week, is $1999 for kit and $1899 for body...
