Hi,

Thinking to get a grey set of lense without warranty.
This will save $300 compare to a local set with 2yr warranty.

Any advice on which is the better option ?

Thanks

What brand is the lens?

What brand is the lens?

Sigma 50-150.

I guess those that use 3rd-party repair would be able to advise since they are more aware of the amount of $$$ required for typical repair.

I'm more concern on focus calibration cost though.

Thanks,

I'm thinking to get it while i'm in HongKong.
Tin Cheung just say they only have grey set,
not sure if they'll provide 1 year shop warranty.
Anyway it will be quite useless to me as i dont travel here too often.

$300 is alot of money expecially for 3rd party lenses. I would say take the risk and save the money.

Thanks.

I have the same thought,
only concern is i may send in for AF Calibration.

Anyone can advise what is the cost for the calibration ?
