Hihi everyone,

My partner and I are planning to start a course on Photoshop for everyone. If you are a graphic/web designer, digital artist or a photographer, with little or no working knowledge of Photoshop, or even if you are already familiar with Photoshop, from the 3 different courses to choose from, there is def. one course meant for you.


Some background info of both facilitaotr
Both Art Director in advertising industry, received their formal training in arts, grahic design and multimedia from Nayang Academy of Fine Arts. Been using Photoshop on a daily basis for the past 9 years and works with numerous photographers like geoff ang, leslie kee, mark law, wee khim...etc... for their fashion advertising campaigns.

Time: Weekdays 7pm to 10pm

Venue: International Plaza
Venue and time is subjected to the availability of classrooms, and may change.

Capacity of training room: min. 8 and max. 20.
Desktop Computers will be provided. All PC based.

Payment
A deposit of $40 is required to secure a place in the course. The remaining amount will be collected at the first lesson. The payment method for the deposit will be provided upon registration.

Course A: Basic Adobe Photoshop CS2

Pre-requisites: Anyone who wants to start learning photoshop
Duration: 2 sessions x 3 hrs
Introductory price: $100 per student
Dates: 13 Nov (Mon) & 14 Nov (Tue) 2006 7pm to 10pm

Course B: Advanced Adobe Photoshop CS2

Pre-requisites: Has experience using Photoshop and who needs to extend his/her knowledge of this powerful programme. participants are advised to have completed a basic course in Photoshop.
Duration: 2 sessions x 3 hrs
Introductory price: $120 per student
Dates: 16 Nov (Thur) & 17 Nov (Fri) 2006 7pm to 10pm

1) Managing Your System
• Guidelines to improve performance
• Working efficiently with Adobe Photoshop CS2
• Understanding the preferences settings

2) Advanced Selection Techniques
• Fine-tuning selection with quick masking
• Using channels to create alpha channels
• Saving a selection as a mask
• Extracting objects using extract tool

3) Using Channels, Layers And Masks
• Creating interesting collage with layer masks
• Understanding colour channels
• Understanding alpha channels
• Applying channel operations
• Creating advanced effects with channel operation
• Using layers to create clipping mask

4) Colour-Correction And Adjustment
• Understanding the different colour modes
• Putting Levels to work
• Identifying areas of tonal range that may need correcting by viewing a Histogram
• Using Image Adjustments to change tonal range of image

Course C: Adobe Photoshop CS2 for Digital Photographers

This course is designed for everyone, photographer in particular, who wants to use advanced features in correcting and enhancing digital photos.

Pre-requisites: Familar with using a digital camera and able to download digital photographs to the computer.
Duration: 3 sessions x 3 hrs
Introductory price: $150 per student
Dates: 20 Nov (Mon), 21 Nov (Tue) & 22 Nov (Wed) 2006 7pm to 10pm

Hi Azul, for the makeup lesson, we can try to arrange. If we couldn't get enough students for the makeup lesson, we will be able to do a 1 to 1 sessions just for you. :)
