2x Tc

Hi bros....

I am thinking of getting a 2X TC (extension) to fixed on my current 70-200 2.8L IS.

Wonder would it affect the picture quality....

Please advise.

As you are adding another layer of glass between the sensor and your lens, of course it will cause some deterioration of the picture quality. The 2x extender may be a bit too much. Suggest you stick to the 1.4x. I have one and on my 70-200L there is no noticeable effect most of the time...

It should but no point as most, if not all EFS lenses are variable in aperture ... your lens would be hunting, worse, image degradation. I wouldn't even dare TRY.
