Do they make a difference? Im currently using a 4mp olympus point and shoot digicam. Would like to switch to Powerex batteries and charger but were confused abt the 2500 and 2700. :dunno:

The difference is simply in the capacity. A 2700 mAh battery should last longer than a 2500 mAh battery. Everything else is the same.

Correct.

I hope (but its looks like) 2700mAH will have no 2500mAH problem (Sanyo 2500mAH drainage problem).

The problem was only seen in the SANYO 2500mah, the sanyo 2100 n 2300 were ok.
Probably due to this strain in customers' confidence, some retailers have switched to selling the powerex instead. For now, both the powerex 2500 n 2700 have no known problems.

To TS, the difference between the 2500 and 2700 is only a few dollars, bout 5 at most (for a set of 4), if ur not on a tight budget, might as well get the higher capacity ones. Afterall you dont know when you might actually run out of juice.. ;)
