24mm GMaster or 85mm Gmaster

Hey Alpha Users,

I need some advise on the two lens mentioned.

Abit of Background,

- Already owned the 24-70 GMaster and would like to purchase another lens
- The price difference between the 2 lens mentioned at about $200+
- I do vlog and do some videos at times
- I do a lot of environmental portraits and also portraits

My Questions is

- Would the 24mm 1.4 be great for portrait? ( This is the only key question actually )
- I love the weight and the size of the 24mm however I know the 85mm 1.4 G master is the highly recommended for portraits
- But it would be great to have the 24m 1.4 as a 1 lens to carry around and lighter to vlog ( if I decide not to bring my 24-70GM )

85 1.4 GM and 85 1.8, really can't tell the difference, 85GM not worth the money.

Maybe I should get the 24GM and buy a second hand 85mm 1.8

If u do vblog - 24 GM suits u due to weight and focal length.

Portrait - depend your style
Full body - 24GM or 85 (u need to stand quite far)
Head shot with shoulder - 85

Like others said, 85 f1.8 is sufficient.
85 GM is for those looking for perfection.

Looks like I'm going with the 24mm GM but looks like its out of stock countrywide
Well looks like I will have to wait for it. Also showed interest by asking SLR to update
