Hi fellas,

First time posting here. Was there today, and also first time taking plane shots......now I know lagi not easy, esp for fast planes. I am using a prosumer (Panasonic FZ10) and really difficult to focus on the fast jet aircraft......more hope on slower planes and static ones!

Anyway, appreciate any comments for first timer. All taken with FZ10

Nice Airbus 380 photos, thanks for sharing :)

Did you pay to enter the official area? If don't intend to pay, is it possible to still have such a close encounter with the planes?

Thanks!

For air show, I think staying outside can still take the shots. Inside static shots would require ticket to go in.

It must be quite a challenge to shoot moving aircraft with
the FZ10. But I think you have still done a very good job, despite you are
more specialised on macro shots... :bsmilie:

Sightly underexpose and color a bit dull. Maybe can PS to increase the
brightness and color saturation.

#2 and #8 very nice.

Thanks! Ya agree on the underexpose part. Not too sure what to adjust. Used M mode and choose fast shutter and adjusted apeture for exposure. Somehow have a blue cast to the pics.

Looks like the shots have been sharpened a tad too much, and somehow there is some sort of fringing, or ghosting or dunno wat the technical people call aberrations i think.

Yup, agree on the underexposure, and probably the white balance a tad too cool.

Thanks for the comments. Which pic has the fringing?

I USM ~70%, neatimage it and USM again. Maybe that was abit too much.

Picture #6

Tail section ...

Nice captures :bsmilie:

I had helleva time today and still post processing my shots

hmm.. eyes not sharp enough. The body must be parallel to the lens to achieve best focus. Don't take a picture of the object flying away!!

Just kidding CY. Great pics!! haahaa. Nice to see you branching out.

Another friend and I was laughing all the way when we found that the landing gears were down all the time at the flying display this afternoon. Haha.
