18Sept (Sun) Duxton

We will cover Duxton on 18Sept (Sunday)
All are welcome: point&shoot, toycamera, prosumer, DSLR, rangefinder or even a shoebox with a piece of film & a pinhole...

Primary activities:
Sunset at “The Pinnacle@Duxton” Skybridge at lv50, we will also do HDR.

RobinLow88 will conduct a sharing session with us on HDR, pre & post production.
He is a co-founder of relief20, which is fund rising for the Japan Tsunami, by publishing a coffee-table book of HDR shots Robin took in Japan, just after the Tsunami.
For those who know Robin & seen his work, you would know he has a lot to share.

Also this is our “sending off” for Robin, before he fly back to USA.

Secondary Activities:
As we walk over to The Pinnacle, we will do some street photography.
When we reach The Pinnacle, we will do landscape/architectural shots of the building.
When we get to the garden, we might do “Horsemanning” & “Levitation” photography, prior to Sun setting.

After everything, we will have dinner. And those that stick around, we will hang around the area above Tanjong Pagar MRT station, to do “Light Painting”.
That area is rather dark now due to construction, facing Wellich Street. Hence ideal for “Light Painting”.

Anyone here is a resident there? Then can “invite” us in to visit.

Things to Bring:
1) Tripod
2) Rain gear
3) Water bottle (to hydrate yourself )
4) comfortable clothing & Shoes that allow u to jump around.
(Tried "Levitational" Photography during "Night Fest", can be physically challenging...)

Meeting arrangement:
18sept(Sun), we will gather 2.30pm @ Tanjong Pagar MRT Station Control.
I will be wearing a Blue&White “UCLA” cap.
We will wait no more than 15min for late-comer, and then we will move off.
Please please please…don’t call me when u reach, without trying to look for me first!
Every time, 15min prior to event, my mobile get flooded with SMS & calls…

@CanonMono: i don't mind u bring female frenz in mini skirt, ask them buy a type of double-sided tape call "Hollywood Tape". it's for dresses, female celebrities use these to secure their tiny evening dress.

Tape down the helm of the dress so when ur female frenz jump, the shirt don't flip up. Also for those with long hair (Guys & Gals) hairspray or gel to keep hair in place when jump.
hence with the above, the person appear to be floating more realistically.:thumbsup:

Wait a minutes..when i quoted that lines..Pls dun abuse my name again..Btw my camera can do 7 images per sec in RAW and JPEG and best is other format of picture can do more images per sec..

Mmm...anyway, seriously anyone draggin any frenz...i.e. girl frenz or wife...etc?
they can tag alone & be our model.

for photographers that are serious about Robin's sharing session, i really have to close the cap on the number soon.
I checked with Robin, he will drag his 12" laptop, and show us HDR post-production using "PhotoMatrix".
**Disclaimer: we are not promoting any software program. This is just a standalone program which Robin been using.
Unless someone bring a projector & screen, we can't cater beyond 15.
Hence i think i will take in 2more photographers .

Trust me, it will be interesting to see the Japan Tsunami aftermath HDR photo.
BravoSeven, CanonMono & myself briefly seen some of Robin's work after we trek along Bukit Timah Railway to Ghim Moi, on 17July.
If u interested in transnational level charity work, u can ask Robin about it.

i welcome casual shooters but i will give priority & attention to my First 15.
when Robin show his stuffs on Laptop, the 1st 15 be at the front , near to his laptop.
