Check out glossary of photographic terms:
CATCHLIGHT - The reflection of a light in the subject’s eyes in a portrait.

You don't need a flashlight to create a "catchlight".

Yes, agreed. Catchlight is very important. I was lucky to get the window catchlight for that shot.

I was too lazy to get the flash lah. Actually I do use flash when it's called for.

Try shooting Neopan 1600 and develop it in Diafine...gives u the really peppery and gritty feel to it. Somewhere in between grain of tri-x and delta 3200.
