16mm Zenitar Fisheye and FM3a

I bought a 16mm Zenitar lens from KievUSA and have tried it with my FM3A. Initially it was OK and mounted well and I took 2 rolls with it...OK

Now I have problems with unmounting the lens and worse still, whenever I expose a frame, the mirror does not return.

Is it due to the flange in the lens that blocks the return lever or
Is it due to a depleted battery, the FM3 is semi mechnical right?

Do I have to get the flange chamfered off?

Any ideas

i have that lens as well, yes unmounting is a little tricky, for my case the lens need to be lifted off the body just before the markers of the lens and the camera body meets up, till now i am so used to it i dun notice it anymore.

fm3A: mirror not returning? need more details than that, have you tried other lens? have u tried without lens? FM3a have a fully mechanical shutter speed (when NOT in A mode), try that as that needs no batt.
