16bits to 8bits

guys i need help here badly, i hv bout 130 pic in this folder(let's call it folder A)...how can i convert these pictures fr 16bits to 8bits,all at one go...
useful infor...
1,photoshop cs
2.heard fr pple it that go to "action" then fr there "flatten image" then convert all of them together...

BUT how to do this...someone help....ungert...!!tks!!!

if ACDsee can read the image, just resize them into jpeg. cuz jpeg can only hold 8bits

Flatten image does not convert it to 8 bits... if it's in 16bits, photoshop cs refuses to let you save as JPG..

Go to Image>Mode>8 bits
You can create an action with just this... and run a batch process through the folder to convert everything to 8 bits.
