are flash allowed in dog shows? or even taking photographs? thanks.

I am also wondering of the same thing. :)

Will be asking before I go in. :p

Confirm no flash allowed. Been there last month. Think you need the 50mm F1.2. Not a big area and long lens is very restricted.

My bro was one of the photographer.

thanks. will use high iso then. "long lens is very restricted" as in cannot bring in?

they allow any lens in the hall. But the ring is very near the audience and you have to be in the first row to catch all the action.

Everyone will be standing so if you have long lens, standing behind will have some view blocked.

Of cos you can bring everything cos who knows you might find it useful.

definitely no flash allowed and it will distract the dogs performing the various routines. high ISO required. the place is not that big ....max 300mm should do the job if you want close up.

be sure to ask the owner permission by firing off your cam, they are pretty sensitive to this.

have fun!!

cheers

Whoa! Need to have 50mm F1.2? Cannot use 50mm F1.8?

Be tactful. Many owners like their pets to have some privacy. :)

Enjoy the show, it's always great to see show dogs in action.
