Similarly when Harold Camping made his rupture predictions not once or even twice but thrice. The lives of his many followers were left in ruins when they sold off whatever they had in this mortal world.

The Mayans ran out of space in the round stone calendar. That's all. It stopped at 2012. They did not say the world will end in 2012.
Any so-called prediction is for their part of the world only. Top one-third of South America.
Their calendar is amazingly accurate. Their astronomers observed with the naked eye - no telescopes.
Length of the year according to modern astronomy : 365.2422 days
Length of our present, corrected Gregorian year : 365.2425 days
Length of the year according to the Maya astronomy : 365.2420 days

I find it unbelievable that people actually believe in all these crap. Historians and scholars who study about the mayans profoundly, have already explained about the Mayan calendar.

I just wonder why people worry when the world is going to end. Unless you are looking into solutions, why do you need to ends it before the 'end'?

Surely we have better things to do or contribute than to think how to end our own life. Even to let those around you be happier on their last few days if that is true.

Hmmm why are we believing is others who don't even know about himself?

with the current technology, if we still think that their decades old prediction is more accurate than ours, don't we deserve to doom.

As Dominick Cobb said in Inception "... an idea is like a virus, resilient, highly contagious. The smallest seed of an idea can grow. It can grow to define or destroy you..." and regrettably for this girl, she allowed herself to be overly obsessed with this concept of a forthcoming Armageddon unknowingly and alas, found her soul already plunged into an abyss of eternal darkness whereby there is not a glimmer of hope.

Choosing to take your own life then become relatively easier.
