wah, tats so expensive... For $2500-2700, it can buy the 70-200 F2.8 IS, or 2 X 17-40L. Tats quite a bomb. And why is Canon so mischievous as not to include the hood? Are they trying to prove they are forgetful or tell the buyer that what you paid ($2500) is not good enough to give a hood? :dunno:

It seems that either the hood is not ready yet or the information released is not accurate. Hopefully it comes with the hood.......:)

that's like $700 more expensive than v1! i guess the only way is to compare the two lens and see if the difference is worth it.

Good, finally the price is out. That will stabilise the price of the EF 16-35mm f2.8L mk I.

Good choice :)... I have a 85 f1.8 too but sold in Dec.. might get another copy again to cover an event.. best for indoor lowlight seminar type events where flash is not allowed :thumbsup:
