One question:
If you travel overseas and use your iPhone to geotag your camera's photos, would that mean mean exposing you to very high data roaming costs?
this tips is for photographers don't wish to spend on a Geotag, however, when is it compare to data roaming costs when use this method in oversea...... the geotag unit seem so much cheaper. One question:

A tip that most already probably know.
Forget data roaming. Buy a prepaid SIM at your destination. It's way cheaper than Singtel crap data roam service.
Italy cost 10 euros or S$17 for the card with 10 euros credit, you use 7 euros for a week of unlimited data and you get to make calls and SMS with the remaining money.
Rest of Europe is similar.
Taiwan is at 400 NT or S$16 for a week of unlimited roaming with some credits left for calls and SMS.
Singtel can go fly a kite with their rates.
i am mountain cat. i didn't know that. thanks! how about M'sia? Any good data ?
The recording of GPS data does not need any data connection. Dedicated GPS receiver devices do not have any data links. Smartphones need the data connection to load the corresponding map. If you had a map application will everything stored on HDD you wouldn't need any data link but get the same results on screen. One question:
