    WIDE CONVERTER W/Macro0.5x 77mm

nope. not at all. I have a friend who used it on his kit lens. Photos taken with the converter is soft. The distortion is also unacceptable. He likes the circular vignette when lens is at 18mm, however, i find it kind of cheesy and it's just way too soft.

High end compact camera vs entry DSLR

I feel that the only advantage compact has over dslr is digital macro right out of the box. DOF is also higher for compact...but that does not imply any advantage or disadvantage

DX lens on DX body, still need to x16 crop factor?

The fact is that though it is optimised for APS-C sensor, the actual focal length of the lens using APS-C sensor is X. This X focal length on a APS-C sensor would give a Y angle of view, which would be equivalent(or close to) the angle of view on a full frame using 1.5X focal length...

    Archiving your photos

Picasa Web by google. It's quite reasonable like less than 5 USD per year for 21GB. The most expensive plan is 16TB for 4k USD. Another 1 is carbonite.com, but that would be computer backup, not just online storage. AFAIK, some of the more established storage company(google, obviously, and...

    Oly 14-42mm lens blurring

I skimmed through the post, and they said it's caused by in-body stabilization's vibration, resulting in movement of the lens element, which caused the blurring. AFAIK, GF1 has no in-body stabilization, so no worries right? As for the easy movement of the lens element, it could be due to...

Post your Olympus DSLR experiences here.

DSLRS, as they say are tools. I have got a e510 and one of the quirks I had with it( maybe including the 4/3s system) is the noise. I like doing long exposure and even at 100 iso, doing exposure longer than 30 seconds would result in noise creeping in. Not sure if APS-C sensors would have the...
