    Prime Micro 4/3 Lens

Well, probably a bad copy. The 20mm is my first prime come with GF1 and till now I still find no lens as usable as it. The IQ is something not even the 25mm Panny Leica can beat. But just as other point it out, the hunting can be irritating. But yet, I think it does makes me a better user...

    [News] Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM1

You will not see this upgrade better than what you have now. Not to say that the GM1 is not capable but the 20mm is probably one of the best you can have. Unless you buy the kit and swap out with 20mm. Than you'll bring compactness and IQ to a new level!

[ Discuss ] What is the attraction of Sony A7 compare to m43?

All in all, there is probably a chance for A7/r to co-exist with m43. A7 would probably usable (weight/size wise) with primes at around normal focal length. Whereas, the m43 will definite has advantage for long tele and wide angle. Over time, some may start to acquire the a7 for legacy lense and...

[ Discuss ] What is the attraction of Sony A7 compare to m43?

Exactly, I don't how it can be compared. m43 was conceived for its size advantage. The mount was further shrink from the original 43 mount as well. Hence the philoshopy of creating an ever smaller lens. For NEX, the mount were meant to take future FF lens as well, therefore it was actually...

[News] LEICA DG SUMMILUX 15mm / F1.7 ASPH

Hell yeah! If it has the speed of 14mm/2.5 and at approx the same size. It definitely can replace the 20mm for an pocketable option.

[ Review needed ] User experience of the 25/1.4 lens ?

Well, you are not wrong at all. That is what I did when I first acquired the 25/1.4. As I already have the 20/1.7. Comparison upon comparison. No matter how I look at it (user experience la, not DXO mark kind of analysis), the 20mm seems be marginally better than the 25mm. Even uses both at the...

    [ Discuss ] EP5 vs GX7. Or EM5?

I think the problem should be lie on the scene that you are taking. It is too bright. For Panny Cam P mode, it always try to centerise your exposure. At maximum shutter and lowest ISO, if it is still too bright, it will close your aperture to appropriate value.

let guess the price of 42.5mm nocticorn and who want to get it?

For 75mm the actual aperture size is 75/1.8=41.6mm. Whereas for 42.5 is 42.5/1.2=35.4mm. And the 45mm aperture would be 45/1.8=25mm. In terms of bokeh, the 75mm is definitely superior couple with its long FOV. My guess is it would be price between the 2 Olympus. About Sgd999? Whereas for...

    [ NEW ] lumix GX7

Maybe you should try out both to judge for yourself. I used to have Canon (still do) but it has been sitting in my dry cab since I first dwell in m43 (started with GF1). Now I'm using my Panny GX1 almost every week. The colour is not as good as Canon though but it is not a dealbreaker at all...

    Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f1.7 Mark II

I couldn't really pass a judgement on the Sigma lens itself, since I have never really use one before. But to me, the focal length seems to be more of an after thought that meant to be designed. I think it was first thought out for those APS-C mirrorless then converted to m43 by just changing...

    Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f1.7 Mark II

Just hope that it would be a better motor. At least that is what I'm hoping for. The 20mm is still yield more satisfaction compare to the 25mm, but the 25mm really edge out on the AF.

    Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f1.7 Mark II

Why Sigma? In terms of size and speed it doesn't come close. If it is about price. I don't think the 20mm would hurt much either, if you take the IQ in consideration.

how to do an infinity focus on the panasonic lens?

I'm not so sure about this. But on Panny body you can actually turn on the scale to be display on screen. Only not too sure that when you turn it to infinity on LCD, it would focus on infinity.

Olympus sharing 5-Axis Stabilization with Sony

I think when people are considering a camera system, it does meant people are considering beyond the camera body alone. If you look beyond the electronics, Canon and Nikon do have a vast range of optics to consider.

[ Review needed ] User experience of the 25/1.4 lens ?

25mm is really great for for fast action portrait (ie kids!). But I wouldn't trade it for 17mm (in your case) though. In my case, I'm still keeping my 20mm. There seems to be a wow factor going slightly wider. As for CA, I'm using a Panny body, therefore not an issue. 25mm to me is a class by...

    What your favorite M4/3 lens?

For baby is definitely 25mm no contest. 20 is slow, some may argue the other way but for baby it is definitely not good enough. 17 may be too wide for a good shot. Especially when you get too close, the baby tend to grab your camera. 25 is just nice enough to keep the distance from the baby and...
