Going to be travelling sub 7kg across asia soon. The m43 system looks like the logical choice with its weight, size and flexibility. The Pentax will be staying home.
Going to carryon only travel a lot next year so looking for sub 1kg camera with a zoom lens and fast wide angle lens for lowlight.
Around $600 possible for the system? Otherwise any Pre-owned recommendations?
Between the two, which has a faster flash recycle rate during HSS?
Found these pre-owned units up for sale so asking users of these flash guns for comments.
Thanks for the tip, now can tell my vendor the minimum requirements. Also, you are half there as the lighting power is not only to catch people going away from me but also people coming my direction so using fixed lighting would be more safer then using flash that will fire out of a sudden and...
My current one needs to be very near before the light at maximum power will have an effect on the subject.
Is it possible to get portable powered industrial grade construction lights?
Basically must be able to light up a spot from 10 metres or more...
It all depends on what you consider acceptable quality vs bulk. I use an Xperia phone as camera for trips when the last thing I want to do is fuss over camera settings when I should be enjoying the trip.
More like would you resort to this if airline was strict on carryon weight?
Basically trying to find out which airlines are so strict on weight that might be a good idea to bring a photo vest there to save weight.
There are times when wearing camera around neck can shave off a few kg from the carry on limit. However are there any airlines you have been on that insist it's still part of the carry on weight? Asking because will be travelling carry on only.
Actually its next month. Thursday, February 12 to Sunday, February 15, 2015

Have been looking foward to a pentax dslr with flip lcd for a long time. Hope it also does wifi remote via smart device.
Looks like a K50 with tilt lcd. A K500 with tilt lcd might not be that popular with users who depend on weather sealing.
Just hoping that its flash sync speed is significantly more then 1/180s.

Also take note if you will be staying on crop sensor camera or going to upgrade to full frame in the future.
Since the 100D is very compact, maybe a budget combo of 35mm f/2 and 50mm f/1.8 would suit your usage (becomes 56mm and 80mm on crop)? They are also canon FF compatible.
In my case, i...
Go through the photos you have taken thus far and see how many you have taken at very low shutter speed like 1/20s and so on. If a lot, image stabilisation does help especially if intend to handhold 1/4s. Also, how many possibly photos that could have been better taken if there was...
Sorry if it is old news.
7D Tanglin Hill or OBH has gone the way of CGH and is now officially an "arrest if trespass" zone. Please spread it around in case anyone is planning photoshoots there. Guess this is what happens when such places become very public knowledge and people go there...
Is there any source thus far that states how good the weather resistance is if compare to the 7D?
Planning to get it for future hiking trails for the built in 24-1200mm zoom and weather resist feature.
