How come so high ? MS quoted me 1068+7% = 1142 (approx.) + extra batt(original) and 4GB SDHC card. :dunno:

I don't think the successor to this camera will come late 2009 right? Seems quite a distance apart from the usual product cycle... Just wondering... Oh well thanks for any replies. :cool:

4.5 MP/cm²(50D) vs 3.1 MP/cm² on the 40D. Here's one reliable opinion : http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos50d/page18.asp It really depends on whether you actually bother about the difference. Some don't find it a deal breaker for the 50D. :)
