Go to the attached web site, you should be able to find out how to check the firmware in the update new firmware instruction. Or you're Kiasu a bit then install the new firmware. Btw when did you bought your camera?

I don't think so the LCD can flip. As far as I know only C-5060 can flip but it's away your budget. Maybe you can try Canon A80, below your $700.

Since you're in the Olympus thread I'll recommend this 3 models: 1.) Olympus C-760 2.) Olympus C-5000 3.) Olympus Mju 410 All the above within your $700 and not below $600. Now the choice is yours! Cheers ;)

Help! Found quite a lot of dust on my 300D matte focusing screen. Try using a blower and still got some stubborn dust didn't want to go off. How do I go about cleaning it? Anybody out there knows how to clean it? Or should I bring it down to Canon service centre to cleaning it? Just wonder...
