Cheaper to buy lens and body in tokyo or in singapore?

Just back from Sapporo. BIG Camera stocks a good range of lenses but be prepared to pay at least S$700 more and do note the higher yen FX rate.

    Should I still get 35L1.4 though i have 16-35L

On a similar note, wil keep my 17-40 for convenience when travelling and top up with 35L for creative and low light shots. Of course, the 21/2.8 ZE would be nice for dedicated landscapes

Which Lens would you choose for a Europe trip?!

17-40 is easy to carry around. In fact, I also brought along a longer focal length lens but its unused.

    5D, What is this?

Spores will spread, but its really difficult to get into a lens if its properly capped at both ends. The low humidity in the cabinet would SLOW but not STOP fungi and manifests as a growing mycelium (thread-like appendages) across a colonized spot. I would also doubt that such conditions favor...

    hmmmm which one is better??

High ISO during evening shoots is usually not a problem with today's digital cameras. Question is: Do you need the shallow DOF at F2.8 or you shoot sports?

    Wide prime for FF

If your prime use is indoor events <35mm, then the 16-35 mkII is a useful zoom. Note that this lens is great from 16-26mm at F4 onwards but not too stellar on the longer end. Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 USM L II

Why my new 7D come with Shutter Count 0679 ??

7D shutter life is rated at 150,000 counts. Do note that Canon QC will fire off bursts as part of inspection. If the camera works, just enjoy it. Nothing is brand new and you should trust it if it comes out of a sealed box. A bit of OT here but has anyone seen how "brand new" cars are...

Why my new 7D come with Shutter Count 0679 ??

Read the manual: "Shutter count or shots taken with the current battery. The number is reset when the battery is recharged." If the shop's battery and your battery are not registered with the camera, it reflects that 600 shots have been taken with the "same" unregistered battery.

    Canon 17-40mm L f4

Rent to try first. See if you really need F2.8 or you usually step down. Perspective distortion is a characteristic of UWA lens and it can be used creatively or easily corrected in PS. Do note that the 16-35 cost almost twice as compared to the 17-40. Personally, my 17-40 never left my cam on...

    Lens for Outdoor Wedding Shoot

Also, does your wife mind you taking candids? Would you be too engrossed in taking pictures in between shots that you become too stressed to pose during your actual photo shoot? I would suggest that its best to trust the photographer and enjoy yourself.
