I actually have both the japan and thai made 18-200. Can feel the difference between the 2. Under close examination, the japan surface looks finer. But i prefer the thai one in my hands coz i like the rough surface feel.

you sure it is not your sensor with the dust problem? Dust on lens is pretty common and rarely appear in the image.

Monitors are a real pain to shoot. Go try it and you'll figure out why.

Hmm. The 717, though old, is still a great camera. So there wouldn't be much of a step up if you get another proconsumer. Think about sticking with it till you are ready to go the dslr route.

I think he meant shooting with a normal camera and viewing the images on pda. I have not seen any pda with high enough screen resolution to analyze photos. I might be wrong on that though.

hmm. actually i never even had to worry about condensation before. The air gets very dry during winter coz of the cold. Not much humidity to condense with.

Shalln't go into the "my weather is colder then yours" competition. Having said that, don't worry about it. I bring my camera out in the winter everyday. Your battery would run out of juice faster, but that is about it.

Yeah, i agree with erizai. The wedding couple isn't the one at fault, and they deserve good work. Don't have to reprint the whole 10 rolls, 360 prints might be too much for a wedding album. Since you have all printed out, maybe select 60-80 shots and re-develop them. Thanks for informing...
