i got the wide angle and telephoto lens. both 55mm.. think i'll try and get the step up ring.

i've got some raynox lenses that i was thinking of using on my nex 5n but they are 55mm.. was thinking of getting a step up ring.. but saw this thing abt adapters.. so wat's the difference between the 2?

what would the weather be like? cold and wet?
