i'm thinking of getting this piece for some of the things that i shoot. i'm just wondering about the quality of this piece. also, there's the f/2.0 version, is there any difference in terms on how the lens perform?

First few photos i ever took actually with a DSLR. funny thing is, i never knew that there was a built in meter in the camera so i have to shoot and re-adjust my settings everytime i shoot. naturally, i could remember most of the settings, but i don't anymore. how much things changed since.

A mininalist portrait of my friend doing lighting metering for me. was going for the 'Avedon Look' thingy though i must say it wasn't anywhere near. p/s - this is not the right way to meter as well.

would appreciate any sort of comments that could help make this image better.

took this last night, minimal PP-ing, pardon the b&w conversion, i couldn't make it any stronger, my photoshop couldn't open my RAW files without converting the blown bg into red/some weird patterns. c&c highly appreciated. so, go ahead, don't hold back if you've got something to say.
