    Prices for Canon DSLR cameras

The cheapest price I saw was around 270,000Yen (around SGD 3.5K), body only. Surprisingly I saw it at Yodobashi, and that price was special for that day only. Normal price at Yodobashi/Bic Camera Yen 310000 (after 10% points discount), but you can get it cheaper somewhere else. Check kakaku.com

    Bad Experience with Orient Photo

If now NETS needs to pay extra, soon banks will charge you for withdrawal from ATM :bsmilie: No joke, I know few banks in Japan did it, if you withdraw money after office hour

    16-35 mk II

Agree, for such an expensive item, the delta won't justify to get the grey set. If you can pay with credit card at CP, it's even better, can collect points ;) A friend of mine just got his lense from CP and it can be paid with interest free installment using certain credit card

    16-35 mk II

What's the latest price for non grey set? OP quoted me today $2100 (grey set). If lense has problem, needs to send back to China. Is the price worth the risk?

    Strange thing happened today

I am using 350D. From the search enginee, I found there are few cases reflex mirror came off with 300D/350D. In my case, the metal bracket holding the mirror came off. As long as the mirror is not broken, it is ok. If you have to replace it, I think it could be quite expensive

    Dust!!!

Easiest way is using dust blower. With few pumps, the dust will dissapear. It it's still there and don't affect your images, let it be. Mishap happened to me today, when I was cleaning my sensor. The metal bracket holding the reflex camera came off. I'm using Canon btw. So, handle with care...

    Strange thing happened today

Search in the forum, apparently cases of mirror drop off happen with 300D/350D. This is not good, hope Canon won't charge me too much fitting back the metal holder for the mirror

    Help Needed

Is it in the lense or could be the dirt on the sensor or reflex mirror? If it's the lense, I would bring back to Canon for free servicing, since it's still covered by warranty

    Strange thing happened today

as usual, I clean my sensor. It's not the first time I did it and so far no problem getting rid of the dust. Todaym while I was blowing the reflex mirror (not the sensor), the metal holder to the reflex camera came off. I was surprise how easy it can come off, just with the power of dust blower...

    Tamron 17-70 F2.8

Thanks for correction, yes it's 16-50mm. Not many reviews on the net yet

    Tokina 16-50 f2.8

According to TK, stock will arrive next week  , price still unknown. Price in Japan around SGD 900  In general, Tokina's build quality is better than Tamron. Additional 1mm wide + build quality and hopefully better performance than Tamron would justify the additional SGD 300...
