Don't think there is a difference between showing the E-3 and the warranty card. If I can borrow an E-3 from a friend to show, I can also borrow the warranty card. Warranty cards are normally not filled up with the name. Even if it is filled up with the name, the shop is not going to verify it...

One way to circumvent this is to improve on your shots and when people stat praising your shots and realize that you are using an Olympus, they won't ask why are you not using a Canon. And if they still ask, just need to tell them that you, your clients, your friends, relatives, gf, bf, dog...

I have been using this combo since E30 reached our shores in SG. No issues so far as I do not use Live View. PDAF is very fast. Colors are good and over experience has been very very good. As long as you don't use live view, I don't see an issue.
