Anyone done this on your own before? What's the risk of damaging the sensor? I don't mind paying to get it done at Sony but seems like you have to send your cam in for at least 3 days for a quick job...

i thought the sync speed is determined by your cam? 1/200 is when your anti-shake is turned on. u will get 1/250 when your anti-shake is turned off.

i usually as standard practice will format my memory card in my camera after every extraction of pictures. so far i have not faced any corrupt files since.
