    Thanks for comments I used sigma 70-300 with 1.4x TC. Shots were mostly in aperture or shutter priority with no exposure compensation. :cool: As for the size ... not sure why they turn up so huge I saved them as I did with the bear pic in fact the file size of the bear is bigger than...

    i also prefer the one w/o auto. i suppose there will be times when the auto results in completely diff effects that is not close to wat we actually see.

    nope i did not use hood. Was on aperture priority (f/10 and the shutter took 15 sec with no exposure compensation) I do came across recommendations to use +0.3 EV though.

    Thanks all all the suggestions ... indeed I was thinking of the walkaround photography .. tried that once, and all my shots went into the drain ... I suppose was my settings and also my trembling hands. Looks like I really need to take using tripod.
