this is the best answer to the OP. just like a good writer doesn't need to fully understand how his type-writer (or word processor) works - as long as he makes good writings (or photos, for the photographer)

it might seem like a great idea at first, but i wonder what would on-lookers think about the photographer using it on the street, or public places? look even more suspicious, like some pedophile or pervert! :sweat:

it is the same as when i was using a type-writer instead of a computer. had to think and arrange words and sentences carefully before typing, else waste ribbon and paper, and have to re-type entire document!

why would u wanna waste a perfectly good piece of technology? use P-mode, then use AE lock (hope your camera has a dedicated button for AELock). It's so friggin convenient (and fast)

at ISO800, noise is unavoidable - even on dSLRs. maybe in 5 year's time when digital sensors gets a boost from technological advancements, who knows?:dunno: by the way, Panasonic is WELL KNOWN for bad noisy sensors. Go towards the LX3 for better high-ISO images and you'd be crawling away...
