    Flower thread

If I may comment. Try toying with different angle and backgrounds. Currently everything is coming from the sides understanding you are keeping to 1/3 rule. Break it sometime. Go closer and you might be surprised. haha. The reason why the white flowers + brighter flowers have black background...

    D800E User Thread

I just came back from the USA a couple of months ago. Also, the prices are cheaper over there since they had a recent promotion where they throw in a SD card 32gb extreme Pro and a Lowepro bag and some third party battery. In addition, they have good return policies.

    D800E User Thread

Will try again tonight and put the camera on the floor. At least it seems to be working for me after the adjustment. next time I think they will have to go up to +/- 40........btw testing was done with "pillow" stabilizer and subject is a calendar...hahaha so quite stable actually.

    D800E User Thread

Handheld on pillow, prone position plus high shutter speed ISO 3200 and above. As I just relocated back to Sgp, I gave away from tripod to a friend abroad. Dont think it is due to mirror slap - i somehow find it lighter then my D300. After AF fine-tune, it is consistently sharp. I do not...

    D800E User Thread

Hey guys, Just got a D800 and wonder about the AF fine-tune. I never had a problem on my D70s, D300 (no fine-tune done) on all my lenses eg. 85 f1.4D, 50 f1.8D, 80-200 f2.8D, 35mm f1.8G etc. I kept feeling that the D800 is backfocusing and when I tried AF fine-tune ......it seems to be -20...

    Problem with Nikon MB-D10

My MBD-10 had such problems before. Think it is just a batch issues. Bring it in to NSC to have it looked up. I had to go to and fro (best part is that I am in the USA so had to get people to bring it back to Singapore NSC) before they eventually changed almost everything in there and now it...

    Ordering lens from Amazon

Why do they not accept warranty coverage since Nikkor Lenses and film stuff are covered worldwide? I find it funny that they do not cover warranty for DSLRs worldwide since there should be no differences in the parts needed for repair duh.... Anyway, buying from Amazon (USA) has an added...

Availability of Nikon D800 in Singapore

Seems like a Singaporean posted on Dpreview or Fred Miranda that he got a D800 from downtown Singapore...so it should be out already.

how to deal with sticky handgrip?

short term, you can try some applying some moisturizer....discovered it by mistake. Long term, just get it changed at NSC or buy the parts to change it yourself.
