to be more specific, the screen didn't really "flicker" but it's more like there were faint horizontal shadows moving up from the bottom of the screen. this can be seen from the live view screen and in recorded videos.

seems that tough 6000 & 8000 is capped at 18 min 30fps for 2gb microsd and xd cards. 1030sw is limited to 10sec non-xd card (m+ & h type) only. if you're using m+ or h type xd card, can also take video up to 18 min at 30 fps. see details here...
