Low Light AF performance between 7D and 5DMKIII
I don't have 7D to compare anymore but the performance now is acceptable to me. Previously with the old firmware when I first use the 5DMKIII I could immediately notice the slow response without comparing with 7D. Glad that Canon fix the problem :) -

430ex ii, af assist beam 1 side?
Are you using the centre column AF points? Try selecting the left or right AF point and check the AF assist beam. -

Low Light AF performance between 7D and 5DMKIII
Of course that's for sure ;) But would be interesting to see cameras having good AF in good light perform in low light. From Roger's test results, 1DX and 5DMK3 have the same SD. Will the SD be the same in low light? Yes, I do know the difference. Thanks :) -
