    New Canon Lenses? 24-70mm f2.8L II, 24mm f/2.8 IS USM, 28mm f/2.8 IS USM

I think they didn't put IS on the 24-70 II 1) so as to reduce the weight - that was one of the main complains of this lens 2) not to compete with 24-105 L

    Continuous Lighting Bulb

Hi All, I recently bought a continuous lighting set and one of the bulbs blew. It was a 750W bulb. Do you know where I can buy cheap bulbs rated at 5500K? I see durian or fruit stores having lots of these. Where to buy?

    How to practice panning techniques

Higher the focal length the harder it is to get good shots. Without IS (image stabiliser) is also harder. You can slowly make your practice harder by using higher focal length and not use IS. Use burst shooting (frames per second) to increase your chances of a good shot. Trail your subject...

    Canon 600D, 7D or MDkII???

If u do video, I think the tilty LCD would be very beneficial. So it's 60D or 600D. Do more video, 600D as it's lighter. Do more photography, 60D as got more photography options. Picture quality should be almost the same.

kena bbb poison but not progressing

It's fiscal discipline. As ppl here say... Shoot, shoot, shoot. One method of improving is to select the top 10 pics u take in a category eg. Portrait, architecture... And each time u set out on a photo trip, have the passion to beat your top 10 each time. I feel imagination and composition...

i still cant decide between 24-105 and 17-55. help needed!

I have a 60D with 24-105. Indoors in hdb flat, I wished I have something wider but I make do. I shoot mainly my kid. So the 105 end is really helpful outdoors. As many others say, depends on which focal lengths you shoot. F2.8 n F4, you can bump ISO by 1 stop to compensate. But depends on...

Better camera wishlist - detachable screen

The more technology take over, the lesser the skill to shoot good photos. Lousier photographers become better. Better photographers find it harder to be better and differentiate themselves. In total there would be more beautiful photos for the whole world to see. Good or bad?

Which lens is better for my 60D

I have a 60D n 24-105. Rich colors and fast AF. Bought this partially cos upgrading to FF later (small pt as u can sell n recover some $) and planning to get EFS10-22 to cover other range. 24 on crop is a bit tight for me indoors in HDB flat but I make do. Heard 17-55 is a great lens too...

    Canon Eos 600d or 7d

Second Bigbaby. 60D is pretty good. 600D, 60D, 7D have the same image sensor. Image quality if using the same lens is similar. Difference mainly come from your lens. 5.3fps is enough unless you really doing sports. More lens you have more options for creativity. Use your budget for more lens.

Explanation & Usage on Al Focus and Al Servo autofocus modes

One thing about al servo, I believe if you preset designated focus points, it would continually try to focus on those points. U can control it better. Vs presetting all focus points, I believe it randomly picks points to focus as subject moves.

Marina Bay Sands - Night Panorama

I actually quite like the composition vs what I have seen so far. There is certain balance in it. #1 maybe can be a bit more panoramic by cropping more of the bottom.

    Portrait Lens recommendation

With 30mm you have a wider angle and can move closer or further away within the 1-3m distance to get various shots. If you got a lens that can do 30mm try and see if you comfortable with it.

    Portrait Lens recommendation

    I think 30-85mm range is possible. 85 only if you are 3m away. You got to test it out. Sigma 30mm F1.4 - $700 or so I think Canon 50mm F1.8 - $120 or so (just because it's so cheap) Sigma 50mm F1.4 Canon 85mm F1.8 - $550 or so I think Sigma 85mm F1.4 Think the sigma 30mm F1.4 is a good...
