Once u start working with a DSLR, weight shudn't be concern anymore. Going DSLR means u care about the features, the performance rather than weight, colour. One might go around searching for the lightest DSLR, but at the end of the day, u want a balance, u'll need a light lens as well. how many...

Sometimes wen u are indoors and u cant use flash to shoot. E.g. A symphonic band concert. Other times can be that u are trying to shoot fast objects but the maximum aperture of the lens is not wide enough for efficient light. So increasing the ISO will make the photos look better in details...

If u happen to pass by canon servicing centre on a weekday, just drop by and let them do it for u. Happened to my 550D too. Was meeeting my fren one fine day at vivo so dropped by the service centre (harbour front centre) and got it cleaned in just 15 mins, includes waiting time and all.=)
