    hi jnet6. not my idea ... but we were just lucky on that day cos the kids started playing with the sparklers as everyone waited for the fireworks to commence. we saw what was going on & just fired away as much as we can before the beautiful sunset fades away ...

    thanks for the +ve comments guys :) no polariser was used. just minimal processing in PS using levels, contrast & saturation.

    yup, my CF card was also infected. i didn't know until i transferred my pics to my laptop when i got home & it infected my laptop. luckily now everything ok. i think we should feedback to the organisers at the next venue.

    thanks bro :) i chose that particular picture to show the so called "behind the scenes" activities while the couple waited for the tea ceremony. I used an opening (like a window) thru the kitchen to frame the scene ... guess it didn't really work huh? :think:

    thanks for your advice & words of encouragement abang! yes the couple liked it. pros like iamasaint, joho for example are benchmarks for me. amatuers like me need to have benchmarks rite? you are rite that we dun need or have to follow their style. thanks again!

    hi bro. just to correct you, there's no Malay Cultural Village in Singapore. Where you took your shots is called the Malay Heritage Centre. This was formerly called Istana Kampong Gelam, which was the residence of the old Sultan of Singapore IIRC.

    the rules & regulations did not indicate that photos must be taken in s'pore. it would be limiting if it is so, IMHO.
