Hi daredevil123, will head down NSC to ask them to help me double check on the back focusing. If my camera indeed is back focusing, it will result in the 50mm being soft? Cos I look at the image taken and I don't really see any part that is sharp....

I did crop but I didn't do any post processing. The image was about 3mb and I couldn't upload such a big image so I cropped the center portion of the image, the part that I focused on. The shutter speed was already set the 1/200. I used auto focus

Hi, i recently got a nikon 50mm 1.4d after hearing alot of good reviews on it. after buying i realise that the images i took are rather soft when wide open. i understand that it is normal for image to be soft when wide open but i was wondering if this is considered "normal"...

so essentially i have to set the shutter as a slow speed and pan my camera to follow the subject to achieve the motion feel and also to use flash and set it to rear-sync so that i can freeze the subject. That right?
